The Discovery Walk Festival is a non-competitive walking festival sanctioned by the American Volkssport Assn. and the International Marching League. By walkers, for walkers but jogging is allowed.
Friday 5K/10K afternoon walk followed by Opening Ceremonies.
Saturday distances include marathon, 32K, 20K, 10K, 5K plus optional 25K/50K bike and 300 meter swims.
Sunday walk distances marathon, 20K, 10K, 5K.
Pasta dinner Saturday evening $16.
Free health and fitness seminars Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Most years is the event is attended by hundreds of international walkers as well as over 1000 regional/local walkers.
Price is right: $21 for all 3 days (with a discount if register by March 1) or $8 per day. You can register for 1, 2, or 3 days.
Every walker gets a medal. Marathoners also get a patch.
